This paper studies the writings of the Spanish orientalists Juan Vernet Gines (1923-2011) and Salvador Peña Martin (1958-) about the text of Thousand and One Nights. The research follows both methods the descriptive and the analytical to study their works without judging their opinions. The approach of the study is not to make positive or negative judgments about their writings, but it focuses on placing these studies in their context, analyzing them, and explaining their results. Vernet presented the text of Thousand and One Night to the Spanish reader as a part of his project to study and translate classical Arabic literature. He aims to show its importance in Spanish literature, especially by clarifying its influence on Spanish Renaissance stories. Salvador Peña´s analysis was based on the concept of multiplicity. He rejects any reduction of the text to sensual content
