This research contains the idea of the precedence and delay in the Chinese and Arabic sentence, we find it in the Chinese language referring to “Change”, while in the Arabic language “Precedence and delay”.
This research is divided into four parts: The first part contains the definition of the linguistic term “Change” in the Chinese language, which meets the term “Precedence and delay” in the Arabic language. The second part contains the changes that happen to the component of the sentence, the third part explains the changes that could possibly happen at the level of the sentence.
As explained in the conclusion, there are points of similarities between both of them as well, and this indicates that there is flexibility and richness in both languages, and makes clear that the phenomenon of “Precedence and Delay” is one of the most important linguistic features in both languages.
