"The Analects of Confucius" holds an incomparable position in traditional Chinese culture and has left a far-reaching influence on Chinese people, while also making significant contributions to world culture. Due to its importance and value, scholars from various countries have eagerly competed to translate it. It is the first Chinese classical work translated into Arabic, and several translations have been published throughout different historical periods by prominent Chinese and Arab translators, each with its own features and characteristics. Although both Chinese and Arabic cultures share many traits and values, as they both belong to eastern culture, translating "the Analects", which contains profound concepts and meanings, into Arabic is considered a difficult challenge. Based on Skopos theory, this research conducts a comparative analysis of three complete Arabic translations of "the Analects", to demonstrate the role of translating classical works in promoting civilizational exchange and people-to-people communication between China and Arab countries.
