This study aims to explore the role of hyperbole as a key element in Ahmadou Kourouma's novel " Allah Is Not Obliged". Throughout the novel, the author extensively employs this technique to highlight various aspects of the narrative, including the physical and psychological suffering of the protagonists, the horrors of war, the characters' personalities, and the violence inflicted upon their community. The objective is to conduct a stylistic analysis of hyperbole and its role in fostering deep reflection on the tragic realities of life in West Africa. Through examples from the text, the current research examines the hyperbolic constructions used by the author to create vivid, shocking images or to intensify the feelings of his protagonists. The author's use of hyperbole is due to the fusion of this figure of speech with other rhetorical devices, the employment of certain grammatical categories, and the use of hyperbolic imagery.
